Respect and Kindness
Be kind and respectful to fellow Cooknook members. Everyone has different tastes, dietary preferences, and cooking styles—let’s celebrate our diversity and learn from one another!
Harmful or Dangerous Content
Do not share content that encourages or promotes harmful behavior, including unsafe cooking practices, the consumption of unsafe foods, or misinformation about food safety and health. Always ensure your recipes and advice are fact-checked and responsible.
Hateful Content
We do not tolerate content that promotes hate or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or any other personal characteristic. Cooknook is a space for inclusivity and positivity.
Harassment and Cyberbullying
Personal attacks, harassment, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. Constructive criticism of recipes is welcome, but be mindful to keep it respectful and supportive.
Spam and Self-Promotion
Avoid excessive self-promotion, spam, or irrelevant content. Sharing recipes, cooking tips, and food-related experiences is encouraged, but content that solely aims to advertise without adding value to the community may be removed.
Plagiarism and Attribution
Give credit where it’s due! If you share a recipe or idea that is not your own, always credit the original creator. Plagiarism or uncredited reposting of content may lead to content removal.
Impersonation
Do not impersonate another person, chef, or brand. Any accounts found engaging in impersonation will be reviewed and may be removed.
Privacy and Personal Information
Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information, including addresses, phone numbers, or any sensitive data, without explicit consent. If someone has shared your private information without permission, report it immediately.
Reporting Violations
If you come across content that violates these guidelines, please report it. Our team will review reported content and take appropriate action.
